FAQ

Tree service questions, answered

Straight answers about pricing, timing, and what to expect when we work on your tree.

What affects the price of tree work?

The price depends on the size and species of the tree, how easy it is to access, what's underneath it (structures, fences, landscaping), and whether we're removing, trimming, or grinding a stump. A tree in a wide-open yard costs less than one squeezed between two buildings. We look at each tree in person and give you a written quote.

How long do tree jobs take?

Most residential tree removals take a few hours to a full day depending on size and access. Trimming jobs are usually faster. Stump grinding is typically under an hour per stump. We'll give you a time estimate with your quote.

Do I need to be home for the work?

You don't need to be home as long as we can access the tree and the area is clear. Many customers prefer to be there for the walk-through, but it's not required. We just need to agree on the scope and access beforehand.

What happens to the wood and debris?

We chip brush on site and haul away debris unless you'd like to keep the wood or chips. Let us know your preference when we quote the job — we can leave logs for firewood or chips for mulch if you want them.

What should I do if a tree is touching a power line?

Stay clear and call your utility company first — never attempt to trim or remove a tree near a live power line yourself. Once the utility has made the line safe or confirmed it's handled, we can take care of the tree. We coordinate with utilities when needed.
